Hello everyone. This is the last entry in the "before."
have been many months of hard work and the day has arrived. after tomorrow is July 19 and starts the 2008 Edition of the Mongol Rally: Team the AUlanVan3 be there for the start.
For us this has been quite an adventure. The preparation and organization Equipment has been tested in many ways, with lots to do and very little idea about many things. And here we are.
In this sense, the help and support of many people (not to cite them all here not because they fit, but to not be evil with which we let in the pipeline ...) has been fundamental to achieving all the objectives: the car, grants, visas, vaccines, equipment, route maps, translations, supplies, spare parts, sponsorships, advertising, broadcasting, and so on to infinity and beyond. Many issues that we have finally solved with the help all the best.
From here is the real adventure, and we meet the ultimate goal: Get to Ulan Bator .

Finally, little by little and thanks to your little private donations we managed to raise the funds required by the Organization for NGO Mercy Corps and United Peoples. As you know, this is one of the key points of the Mongol Rally, and we passed with flying colors.
We want to thank each and every one of you for having relied on this idea and in us, and having made your money for this cause. I convey the thanks we have received from the representatives of NGOs, was not an easy challenge.

Hi all This weekend I went through Villanueva de la Serena to collect input from our newest sponsor, Spares Serena. Located on the Guadalupe road, s / n, very close to Villanueva, you have the parts store where you can find anything to your vehicle (if it had parts for our Samu, who is now 18 years, and we ask that you elaborate piece, imagine the variety you have). It also has stores in Don Benito and Castuera so anyone in that area it is very easy to get your spare time.
May, the owner, very passionate about travel in a 4x4, was enthusiastic about our project and agreed at the time to help us. He said simply: "make me a list of parts you may need." Said and done, we have provided everything from grease or seal leakage to crossarms for transmission, through oil and triangles. Awesome. Thanks
May, seriously, the kit we has provided plenty fills our expectations and will give us almost complete independence to achieve mechanical Ulan Bator with confidence.

Continuing our run of good luck, Driver Group, has expressed solidarity with our cause and has provided us with six brand new Pirelli tires for Samu by way of sponsorship.
Formed in 1995 by the union of some of the finest tire shops and fast mechanical Independent Driver Group has become a reference group in its sector, with over than 170 centers across the country.
We could see first hand the quality of service and efficiency when a few days ago we mounted the tires. We are almost like having a professional taking care of our four mechanical wheels. The truth, they were 9 second pit stop, but little was lacking because in just 20 minutes out the door with changed tires and wheels balanced.
After the change, the suzuki has appreciated because the tires wore that until now were already quite viejetes and now you notice the extra confidence they give, aside from giving the car look better, I must confess.
From here AUlanVan3 want to express our appreciation to the Panel Driver for your confidence in us. Will not disappoint you and that four of the six tires tread the tarmac of Ulan Bator next month. Thanks also to Tyre Herranz (C / Alcalá, 464), Driver center where we prepared the wheels, for their collaboration. I leave you with some photos that we did with them.

As the legendary Marty McFly, we felt this weekend, which incidentally has been hectic for the last preparations for the car, when we met at the mailbox a letter from Canal Extremadura in a CD that came with the first interview we did.
As was so abruptly, that March 25 could not prepare the recorder and it seemed that the interview had been forgotten ... until now. We thank the drafting of Canal Extremadura already sent us so we can save it for posterity:)
